A YOUNG Sutton woman who turned her life around and set up a successful beauty salon has been nominated for a national award.
Stacey Staniforth (23) is in line for the prize after launching Beauty Angels with the help of the Prince’s Trust’s Enterprise Programme, which supports young people looking to start their own business.
She has been nominated for the RBS Enterprise Award at the Prince’s Trust and L’Oreal Paris Celebrate Success Awards to be held later this month.
Stacey’s teenage years were difficult due to being in a single parent family and she left school with poor GCSE results and few prospects of getting a job.
But after help with a grant and mentoring from the Prince’s Trust, her salon, on Outram Street, is now thriving and has become a hub of the community.
