Royal seal for BPR Medical
A FIRM has been given a royal seal of approval after receiving the Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
BPR Medical Gas Control on Oakham Business Park, Mansfield, received the prestigious accolade for innovation for their Firesafe range of products which prevents the spread of fires.
Producing gas therapy products for hospitals, the life-saving Firesafe range are now mandatory in the NHS and Germany.
The products which helped land the award include flowmeters and nozzles which reduce the chances of an oxygen-fuelled fire, and give patients and staff a better chance of survival should a fire occur.
BPR’s chief executive officer, Richard Radford says: “We are thrilled to win this award, which underscores our commitment to innovation, patient safety and quality.
“It is testament to the hard work and dedication of all those involved, both in and outside of BPR, that have supported the development of this important safety device.
“I hope everyone will take a moment to celebrate this award in the knowledge that they have made a difference.”
