Mansfield-based Express Hose & Fittings, a leading provider of technical products to UK industries, says its move to bigger premises should create new jobs this year.

The firm’s move to new premises on the Millennium Business Park, Mansfield, came after securing £485,000 in funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial.

The firm, which has rented its premises since inception in 2004, now supplies products used in engines, heavy plant and equipment, and manufacturing lines, among others.

By buying significantly larger new premises, Express Hose & Fittings says it will be able to expand to meet strong client demand – its old site is 1,750 sq ft while the new site will offer 5,000 sq ft.

The business needs to hold substantial stock to supply customers and its old premises were restricting its capacity to take on certain projects.

Simon Shaw, Director at Express Hose & Fittings, said: “We have had an excellent period of growth with substantial demand from new and existing clients, and now have a commensurate need for new premises to accommodate and fulfil increased business orders.

“As the expansion is managed and this additional demand is met, we are confident that new employment will also be created in 2014.”

Steve Phillips, Relationship Director for Santander Corporate & Commercial, said: “We see strong growth opportunities for Express Hose & Fittings in 2014 and beyond.

“We are delighted to be able to help this fantastic business grow and look forward to helping Simon and the team meet their business aspirations.”

Express Hose & Fittings is managed by Directors Simon Shaw, Steve Black and Paul Toplis.

All have considerable knowledge and many years’ experience in the industry and have successfully seen the firm grow into a major supplier of hose and fittings products for a broad range of industrial sectors.
