Business growth expert Paul Hopewell has joined the East Midlands-based venture capital practice Longbow.
Paul, who currently heads up Synergy (PH), part of The Health Insurance Group, has previously acquired, grown and sold a number of businesses.
Longbow founding partner Chris Lightbody said: “Paul’s business acumen, eye for detail and determination to get things done are qualities that mark him out as someone to take advice from.
“He has built up Synergy to become an award-winning business and has learned lessons over the years that money alone just cannot buy.
“We look forward to him adding value to the operation; not only us but to the businesses we invest in.”
In a successful career that has seen a number of highlights, Paul has experience of acquiring a family-run business, doubling its turnover and guiding it through its eventual sale.
Paul has sought out tips and advice from the best business experts all over the world, and implemented processes and procedures that improve real-life day-to-day operations and overall efficiencies.
With lessons learned, tenacity, an eye on the endgame and sheer ability to get things done, Paul’s invaluable experiences can help a business to grow.
Longbow was formed by Chris and Daniel Hayes to offer more than just capital to companies and business ideas that show potential.
Its aim is to become recognised as the premier East Midlands-based group of like-minded successful entrepreneurs who share knowledge, skills and experience to benefit enterprise and the community, and is aimed at high-net worth individuals who are looking to make more informed decisions on investment opportunities that are in addition to existing portfolios and pension funds.
Paul said: “I was attracted to Longbow because of its ethos of being more than merely a group of investors.
“It regards people, planet and profit as paramount; this is an inspiring ethos and I look forward to being part of a successful group.”
