A Sutton firm has paid tribute to long serving employees with more than 130 years service between them.
Directors of precision engineering company Boneham and Turner Limited, presented long service and retirement awards at a recent event.
Company secretary Peter Boneham said: “These awards show the commitment and passion of our employees for the company and the company’s ability to treat it’s staff well and support and nurture them.”
Sales engineer and technical advisor Charles Simpkins was recognised for his 40 years service.
Linda Blenkinsop, client controller, who looks after customer information on drawings and technical issues has completed 20 years at he company which is based at the Oddicroft Industrial Estate, Oddicroft Lane.
Internal grinding expert Paul Green was recognised for his 40 years service.
Retiring this year, Mick Gill who operated CVC milling machines, has worked for more than 30 years with the company.
Boneham and Turner Limited were established in 1918 and are a leading manufacturer and supplier of tooling components and precision engineered components.
Peter Boneham added: “ We have seen off many a recession - and I fee that it is through the dedication of our employees.
“It has always been our modus to retain skills in engineering and that is what carries us forward.
“As markets change it is obviously important to maintain manufacturing knowledge and this is the backbone of the organisation.
“It is this depth which keeps us ahead in what is a competitive industry.”
