BUSINESS people attended an event hosted by Mansfield District Council to attract tenants for newly furnished office space.
The authority showcased its four new Business Places at the Armstrong Hall site, Brougham Avenue, Mansfield.
Alison North, economic regeneration manager at Mansfield District Council, said the office space would be ideally suited to someone starting up in business or those entering into commercial property for the first time.
“It could be those who have been working from home but are not ready to take on a lengthy business lease because they do not know whether it will work,” said Ms North.
“Businesses can sign up and know they have some security on their outgoings because rents include rates and all bills apart from the phone bill. They can plan for what their outgoings will be.”
The event was attended by existing tenants, including Geraldine Orman, of Handy Helpers Home Services, business people from banks and accountants and prospective tenants.
Food was provided on the day by Rumbles Cafe and West Notts College entertained visitors with Wi gaming and beauty treatments.
Mansfield District Council (MDC) is offering £500 cashback to tenants who take up the new premises but this is on a first come, first serve basis.
The other three Business Places are on Langford Road Mansfield, Park Road, Mansfield Woodhouse and Burns Lane, Warsop.
An MDC spokesman said all the accommodation offers flexible and varied office and workshop space, extensive business support, IT facilities and secure premises.
