POST Office bosses want to move their Farnsfield branch to the village’s Co-operative Food store and are asking for the public’s views.
The existing branch has been operated by a temporary agent but the Post Office has been seeking a permanent solution to provide services in the longer term.
The Co-operative Food Store, on Main Street, has now been proposed as the new agent to trial a Post Office local.
Post Office spokesperson Mike Ball said: “Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services to the local community in the longer term, and we believe that the relocation of Farnsfield Post Office is the best way forward if we are to secure continued access to Post Office services locally.”
Post Office local is a new concept for delivering Post Office services from the premises of an established outlet.
