Asda has announced a £1m plan to transform the former Netto stores in Mansfield and New Ollerton and create new jobs.
The former Netto stores on Bancroft Lane, Mansfield and Forest Road, New Ollerton will both close on Saturday ahead of a £0.5m refit at each site into a new-look Asda.
Earlier this year Asda was given the green light to take over the budget supermarket chain and the two local conversions are part of a national programme.
Asda, New Ollerton will open its doors on 18th July and on the following day the new-look Mansfield store will open.
All of the existing stores’ staff will be transferred to the new Asda supermarkets. In addition, there will be 11 new jobs in Mansfield and nine in New Ollerton.
Anyone wishing to apply should visit www.asda.com/jobs.
George Hudson, store manager at the new Asda Mansfield, said: “Despite being a small Asda supermarket we think customers are going to be delighted with the new store.
“We hope they will be bowled over by the range and there will be no price premium for anything we sell.”
