Alfreton business roots in the south

AN ALFRETON company has helped make a southern town bloomin’ lovely after supplying a council with custom manufactured floral baskets and tubs.

Amberol supplied a range of containers for Weymouth and Portland Borough Council at the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy in readiness for the summer’s range of international sailing events.

The council purchased over 100 specially manufactured planters in a specific colour to match the shade of blue used by the club.

The WPNSA is a not for profit organisation, based between Portland Harbour and Weymouth Bay.

The site has some of the UK’s best sailing facilities and was chosen to host many of the summer’s major international sailing events - with the Olympics topping the list of attractions ta Weymouth this summer.

Amberol’s marketing manager John Williamson saod: “It’s great to see councils and local authorities buying British to showcase the best of British and the world class sporting facilities that we have in this country, such as the National Sailing Academy.”

A family-run company set up in 1969, Amberol specialises in sustainable gardening products.

Visit www.amberol.co.uk for more information.
