A MULTI-MILLION pound enterprise centre will open in Shirebrook with the hope of attracting news businesses and encourage existing firms.
The Tangent Enterprise Centre is a £4.7m project from Bolsover District Council based on Brook Park.

The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund, who injected £3.8 million, with a further £900,000 from the council’s own Working Neighbourhoods Funding (WNF).

The centre has been constructed over two floors and offer the latest in modern technology, including high-speed broadband and video and teleconferencing equipment.
It will offer adequate parking provision for all units, as well as provision for visitors and meeting room users.
Parking and shower/changing facilities will also be available for cyclists. The grounds around the building will be landscaped.
The building was named Tangent following a workshop between the council and students from Shirebrook Academy.
