£2.76m regeneration cashpot up for grabs for Mansfield groups

ORGANISATIONS across the Mansfield area are being invited to bid for a slice of £2.76m of funding for economic and enterprise activities across the district.

The money will come from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and can be used to stimulate and support new markets and enterprise opportunities, provide resources and support to develop the economy within local communities, revive local infrastructure and environments, and develop employment sites and premises.

One project that has already benefited from the ERDF funding is the Mansfield Woodhouse gateway project, which includes a new business unit development, improvements to the landscaping and a public footpath through to the site.

The funding will finance up to 62 per cent of the cost of a suitable project in Mansfield District. Match funding will be needed to finance the rest.
