THERE’S plenty of news about changes on the local roads this month, Here Bill Purdue gives us the news in his latest column.

Trent barton are introducing a through ticket from anywhere on its network to Drayton Manor Park and Alton Towers. The ticket includes all day travel on the bus and entry to the theme park and can be bought on any trent barton bus when you travel to Derby to connect with the fast shuttles from Derby.

The prices are £25 for Drayton Manor and £35 for Alton Towers. The shuttle for Alton Towers leaves Derby at 9.40 am and the one for Drayton manor at 10 am, so if you are travelling from Mansfield for example, it means an early start.

The Alton Towers service starts on 2nd July and the Drayton Manor service is already operating. Both services run Mondays to Saturdays until 1st September and then every Saturday in September.
