On Saturday 13th September East Midlands Trains will celebrate the 175th anniversary of the coming of the railways to Derby.

To mark the occasion the entire North Shed area of the depot at Etches Park in Derby will be open to explore between 10am and 4.30pm.

You’ll get the chance to gain an insight into the workings of a maintenance depot as well as the chance to marvel at the fascinating series of trains on display.

There’ll also be plenty of stalls and fairground rides, so it’s a good day out for the whole family. Tickets can be purchased in advance: adults £11, children £7, seniors £7 and family £29.

Tickets bought on the day will cost more. Any disabled badge holders requiring car parking can utilise the car park at East Midlands Trains Customer Service Academy at Pride Park.
