Barking up the advice tree . . .

BOLSOVER District Council has issued a leaflet advising dog owners how to stop their pet from barking after a rise in noise complaints to the authority.

In the last two years there have been 325 complaints (172 in 2009/10 and 153 in 2010/11) with a further 114 from April to December 2011.

Thie leaflet can be found on the Council’s website, www.bolsover.gov.uk/noise, or a copy picked up from any Contact Centre.

Coun Dennis Kelly said: “The constant barking or whining of a dog can be very disturbing or annoying to your neighbours.”
