A variation in pasties, is always welcoming, and Cooplands in the Four Seasons is a good place to start if that’s what you want.
At £1.29, the Balti pasty is more expensive than most while the cheese and onion is 95p, but is a lot smaller. With a crunchy flaky pastry, the cheese and onion was a little too crunchy but rescued by a decent filling. The Balti pasty was the real winner though, the pastry was spot on and the filling fantastic, plenty of quality chicken in a mild curry sauce.
My only real gripe is the hard sell when you try to pay- did I want two sausage rolls for a quid? Had I wanted them, I’d have ordered them. Take the hint please.
