Ashfield District Council has scooped an award from Keep Britain Tidy in recognition of the improvements made to its environmental services.

The council has been given a Quality Improvement Award because of its efforts in making the department more efficient and improving service quality. There has also been a significant increase in customer satisfaction levels.

Coun Andrew Davidson, portfolio holder for the environment, said: “I am really pleased to see Ashfield District Council being praised for a bold and original way of achieving financial savings while at the same time increasing customer satisfaction levels. I personally congratulate everyone involved and those who deliver the service to Ashfield residents on a daily basis.”
