Nottinghamshire County Council say more school governors are needed for schools in Ashfield.
The authority is looking to fill 83 vacant positions,
Leonie Meikle, governor services manager at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “The most effective governing bodies consist of governors with a blend of experiences, across different cultures and age groups.
“Whatever your background, you could add enormous value to a local school.”
Currently, 13.7 per cent of the district’s school governing positions are available - above the national average of 12.5 per cent.
