ASHFIELD MP, Gloria De Piero will be taking part in a question and answer session with local youngsters to mark the re-launch of Sutton Radio station, Takeover Radio 106.9 today.
The radio station have recently secured more funding and the aim of the Q&A is to give young people a chance to engage with their local MP and to get them interested in the political process.
The Q&A session will be the first in a series of public question and answer sessions that the station are planning to stage at the Outram Centre in Sutton in partnership with Framework and Confetti, and will discuss a range of issues including young people’s enterprise, job hunting and employability, engagement with politics and housing related issues.
On the day at least 20 young people will have prepared questions to ask the Labour MP and the session which is expected to last 45 minutes will be chaired by Takeover Radio station manager James Finlayson. The Q&A will also be recorded on the day and will go out on air from the start of June.
