AN anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) has been imposed on a 64-year-old man who made unnecessary calls to emergency services.
District Judge Andrew Davison, sitting at Chesterfield magistrates court on Monday, said the ASBO was required to keep Allen Parkin in check.
“It is to ensure that local residents and emergency services are not troubled and abused by you as has been the case in the past,” the judge told him.
Parkin, of Wharf Road, had admitted persistent use of the telecommunications system to cause annoyance or inconvenience. The judge imposed a two-year ASBO and a one-year conditional discharge.
Parkin told the court: “I’ve got to be good now. I will not go back to the alcohol. I have not had a smidgeon of it in eight weeks.”
