Appeal after toys stolen from Somercotes

TOYS were taken by thieves from a truck parked overnight in a layby.

Hundreds of distinctive wooden toys were stolen from the back of the vehicle on the A38 at Somercotes overnight on Tuesday, 20th November.

A total of 116 KidKraft toys were taken from the trailer, which had its curtains cut while the driver was asleep in his cab.

Twenty-five of the toys, called ‘Everyday Heroes’, are unique to the company, but also taken were a number of kitchen and cupcake play sets, dolls houses, vanity units and easels.

The toys were due to be delivered to a firm in Clowne.
