Teenagers from the Alfreton Grange Arts College Environmental Action Group were at the ribbon-cutting of the ground-breaking heat and power gasification system which is fuelled by sustainably-managed woodlands on the estate.

It is expected to provide 97 per cent of the electricity and 72 per cent of the heat to the house, stables and greenhouses on Chatsworth Estate. Izzy Wardby, one of the students was invited to cut the ribbon with Lord Burlington, chair of the Devonshire Group Environmental Committee.
