A MAN has been jailed for drugs offences after police stopped him for having no insurance and found cocaine in his car.
Scott Colthart, 36, was driving on the A617 near Chesterfield when he was pulled over by roads policing officers for having no insurance.
Officers searched the car and found cocaine in the boot and passenger foot well.
Colthart, of Oakerthorpe, Alfreton, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
He denied the offence but was found guilty by a jury at Derby Crown Court. He was sentenced on Thursday, 24th May to 33 months in prison.
