Alfreton-based Wildgoose Construction has donated £500 towards a project designed to bring a local community together.

The firm has given the money to the Welly Project, a community, wellbeing and sports centre in Bury, Lancashire.

Wildgoose is currently working on a new sports hall at Bury College, next to the Welly Project.

Tim Walker, managing director of Wildgoose Construction, said the firm was pleased to have been able to help out.

He said: “We are delighted to help this extremely worthwhile project financially and we hope it will become a real community hub where people can set about improving their lives.”
