Adoption information evening in Mansfield

Family Care and Nottinghamshire County Council are holding a joint information evening supported by the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham for people thinking about adoption.
The free event will be held at St John’s Church Centre, St John’s Street, Mansfield on 27th September at 7pm.

“Across Nottinghamshire alone there are currently over 100 children with plans for adoption,” explained Laura Mynett, family recruitment co-ordinator for Family Care. “These children require secure, loving forever families and it’s our role to help find these families for them.

“Both Family Care and Nottinghamshire County Council placed more children last year than in previous years and we are committed to keep increasing our placements whilst providing lifelong support for our families”.

The evening is an excellent opportunity to hear from adopters about their experiences, and be able to talk with social workers and carers about any questions you might have. Anyone wanting to know more about adoption is welcome to attend.

There is no need to register prior to the event, but if you have any questions prior to the evening call Steve Hargrave, director of Family Care on 0115 9603010 .
