A-LEVEL RESULTS: Ashfield School students celebrate their grades

Ashfield School are pleased with another year of great A-level results.

Students in tears of joy and desperation filled the post-sixteen hall at Ashfield school, in Kirkby this morning, as they found out their grades.

Head boy, Toby Rodgers, 18, from Sutton, achieved an A* grade, an A and two B’s, which have landed him a stop at the University of Leeds to study law.

He said: “The results are so good - I’m happy and relieved.

“It’s been a stressful couple of years and it’s good to have got these grades out of it.”

Clarice Wilton, 18, from Kirkby, will be studying drama at the University of Cumbria thanks to her three B grades.

She said: “I was so scared to collect my results because I was expecting much worse.

“I will be keeping in touch with the school for sure.”

Jacob Flowers, 18, from Kirkby, feels great about his three A grades and a C grade.

He said: “I can’t believe I got three As.

“I found out I had got into uni from logging on to UCAS in the morning - I am over the moon.”

Jacob will be studying communication and media at the University of Leeds.
