Youths who beat up James Sheppard escape jail

TWO youths who admitted assaulting a former Stags steward before he was killed were sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court today (Wednesday).
Fifty-four-year-old James Sheppard died on 3rd July last year on a bench outside Mansfield Community Hospital.

The two youths, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were slapped with 12-month supervision orders and also face curfew orders lasting three months.

A third youth has admitted manslaughter and will be sentenced 5th July.
