STUDENTS from across the area who want to take up a career in the Military could be eligible for an Army bursary from September to help cover the costs of higher education.
The new scheme will be introduced at Mansfield's West Notts College and other Nottinghamshire colleges in the next academic year and will support young people looking at Army careers in IT and technology, engineering, catering, construction, public services and vehicle repair.

It will be available to people between the ages of 16 and 25 going into further education, with the bursary providing them with £1,000 and a further £1,000 when they join the Army at the end of their course.

To apply for a bursary contact Capt Cox at the Armed Forces Careers Office in Nottingham on 0115 941 1939, or contact student services at West Notts College.
