DOUBLE Olympic gold medal winner Rebecca Adlington will receive the first of many Mansfield accolades immediately on her return home.
For Becky - due to arrive back in England on Monday evening - will be presented with a pair of gold designer shoes by Mansfield mayor Tony Egginton on Tuesday afternoon.
The mayor will honour his promise to reward Mansfield's teenage swimming sensation with a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes for success at the Beijing Games ahead of her open top bus parade celebration through the town on Tuesday evening.
And naturally the £460 Jimmy Choo shoes - donated by the from the designer from his Clue collection - will be in gold after a special request from mayor Egginton.
They are due to be handed over at a press conference at the Civic Centre around tea-time on Tuesday.
The shoes will be on a red pillow, designed by Finesse Bridal Studios, and embroidered in gold with her world record breaking time in the 800 metres thanks to Roy Burton from Your Emroidery Services.
The 19-year-old's passion for designer shoes has been well documented over recent weeks as she first won the 400 metres women's freestyle gold and then in the early hours of Saturday added the 800 metres title - in world record time.
Mayor Egginton made his promise he made at a civic send-off for Becky and the town's Paralympians - and now is delighted to be honouring that pledge.

He said: "At our Olympic send-off I promised her a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes if she brought back gold . . . I am delighted to have to eat my words now!"
Becky's parents Steve and Kay have also promised a pair of her favourite Christian Louboutins designer shoes.
And Becky joked after her gold medal triumph on Saturday: "I have already e-mailed my mum to say the ones I want. Christian Louboutins is my favourite designer."
Tuesday's celebrations will begin in style for Becky and her family when they are taken from their Ryedale Avenue home in Mansfield to the Civic Centre in a gold Rolls Royce courtesy of Brian Clarke.

Following the open top bus parade - which sets off from the Civic Centre at around 6.10pm and finishes with a re-run of her Olympic success on a big screen in the Market Place - there is also a provate party for the golden girl at the district council's HQ.
