Chad.co.uk brought you all the news as it happened during a busy afternoon at Field Mill.

Together with local radio station Mansfield 103.2 we broke the news that chairman James Derry - heading a consortium of local businessmen - had taken over the reins of the football club. Then with 103.2 we brought you the reaction of the successful new owner.

Chad.co.uk was the first to get an interview with former owner Keith Haslam. And we also brought you first the reaction of Mansfield mayor Tony Egginton and the various supporters' groups.

Just glad it is all over . . . for now, no doubt, knowing Stags! Let's hope there is more money for Billy Dearden, more money comes into the club and administration and relegation never materialise.

Why are supporters euphoric about Derry buying out Mansfield. He is probably Haslam's puppet and on top of that we are paying Haslam £16,500 per month for the privilege. This is a very sad day for the stags, not only are we heading out of the football league, but we will also be insolvent. Get real SFC or whatever your name is!!
