FAMILY fun will be top of the agenda at The Carrs in Warsop this weekend as the town hosts its 22nd Warsop Carnival.
And this year's summer special is expected to be bigger and better than ever with entertainment, activities and shows filling three arenas on the site.

Offering something for everyone, visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of attractions and activities –– from live music to tournaments, challenges and displays.

The event will kick off at 9am on Saturday with the annual sports day featuring mini soccer tournaments and 11-a-side competitions.

Then from noon, an impressive 12 hours of entertainment will be provided by a number of bands who will be lifting the roof of Muzo's Party in the Marquee.

The music extravaganza will get underway at noon with Drum 'n' Bass before local bands and well established tribute bands –– including a Madness tribute act –– take to the stage.

An international theme has been picked for this year's main carnival day on Sunday, which features the annual parade from Robin Hood Avenue to The Carrs.

Organisers say the parade will reflect the international theme with wonderful colours of the world –– including a Chinese dragon.

Other entertainment on offer at The Carrs on Sunday includes Warsop's Tudor Dancers, Legends Medieval Entertainment, including jousting tournaments, Spotlight Studios performances and London Chinese Acrobats.

In addition, the popular 'It's a Knockout' competition will take place at 1pm at the south area –– where teams will be put through their paces in a variety of mental and physical challenges.

And more live music is on the bill at Muzo's Party in the Marquee as a variety bands will fight it out for the coveted Paul Newbury Battle of the Bands titles.

Other attractions include Warsop in Bloom Flower Show, a falconry display, American wrestling, martial arts displays, face painting and a fun fair plus much more.

The Warsop Carnival Parade will commence at noon from Robin Hood Avenue and will continue along:
