A 16-year-old girl was assaulted while walking along a footpath in broad daylight.
The teenager was walking along walking along a footpath the path which runs from Lindley’s Lane in Kirby to Nuncargate Road in Annesley Woodhouse, shortly after 3.30pm on Thursday 8th Janauray
She was close to a farmhouse at the back of the Cricketers Arms when a man who had been walking towards her suddenly grabbed her by the wrists and shoulders.
He then pushed her to the floor and ran off in an unknown direction.
The offender is described as white, aged 20-30 years, around 5’11” tall, with a pale complexion and hazel eyes. He had dark brown hair but light brown eyebrows and facial stubble. He had a scar on one hand between his thumb and forefinger. He wore a purple and grey hooded top with thick horizontal stripes and black tracksuit bottoms with white piping on the pockets and down the leg seams.
Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify the man.
