Wizzard time promised at music festival

MUSIC fans looking for a festival to enjoy this summer will not have far to travel if they choose the Worksop Music Festival.
1861 Leisure present the annual Worksop Music Festival which is on at Worksop Town Football Club on the 14th and 15th June.

The two-day music festival has a wide variety of acts on offer catering for fans of blues, indie, pop, and rock and the event is being hosted by popular DJ Tony Blackburn and DJ Joe Mac.

The thrilling line-up so far includes, on the first night rock legend Roy Wood, of Electric Light Orchestra and Wizzard fame, who is performing as Roy Wood Rock & Roll Band.

He and his latest band will be joined on the bill by Dr & The Medics, Herman's Hermits and Earl Jackson Band.

Whilst the second night's equally impressive schedule of acts features popular American singer-songwriter Suzi Quatro, Aslan, Craine and Charlie Barker.

Tickets cost £26 for a one-day pass or £39.50 for a pass that covers the whole weekend, they can be purchased at www.1861leisure.co.uk/store/acatalog/1861_music_concerts_acts.html.

Doors open at 3pm on Saturday and Sunday at 2pm, food is provided on site, as well as beer tent serving beer, wine, vodka and soft drinks.

There will be festival stalls and shops selling memorabilia and parking and camping is available at Worksop Rugby Club by calling 01909 484247.
