TOP indie rock acts the Super Furry Animals and Supergrass are to top the bill of a cracking one-day summer music festival at Clumber Park this year.
Clumberfest 2009 will be held in the Clumber Park grounds on Saturday 22nd August and will also feature well-loved indie popsters the Lightning Seeds and up-and-coming Dundee indie act the View.
Organisers IML Concerts are expect thousands to descend on the event, which builds on the success of last year's inaugural Clumberfest - which featured Scouting for Girls, Turin Brakes, the Feeling and the Rushes.
Festival chiefs say the double-headline attraction of psych-pop rockers the Super Furry Animals and ever-popular indie outfit Supergrass should bring a great vibe to the festival with their summery pop tunes.
The Lightning Seeds will be adding to the uplifting atmosphere with classic tracks such as The Life of Riley and Lucky You, as well as songs from their new album Four Winds.
Said IML Concerts director Keith Louch: "We are thrilled to be bringing this one day festival to Clumber Park. We have already had a huge demand for tickets so we are very confident that the event will sell out quickly."
There will be no seating or cover provided at the festival, so organisers are advising people to bring their own rugs and say only only water in plastic bottles will be allowed on entry to the site.
The gates open at 5pm and the programme commences from 7.30pm, and there will be free parking available, along with a range of bars and catering outlets on site.
