AN indie band featuring members of hit 90s rockers Wide Eyed Wonder is launching its first EP at Mansfield Old Library this weekend.
Guitarist Stephen North and Anthony Scott on vocals, both of Mansfield Woodhouse, released two CDs in the 90s and toured with rock legends like The Charlatans.

Now they are back with a group of talented Mansfield musicians as Polaroyd and are set to launch the nine-song Splendourville EP on Saturday.

Anthony said: "It's always been about the love of playing music for us and we are looking forward to debuting three of our new songs in front of a packed out crowd."

After Wide Eyed Wonder ran its course the pair took a break from making music together, but got together again after a successful gig at Antony's birthday party five-years-ago.

The new group, featuring Colin on bass and Ben on drums, have been quick to embrace new technology and use Myspace to reach out to their fans.

Said Stephen: "Things are so, so different nowadays - it's hardly the same business.

"But we have had a lot of success with Myspace and one of the songs from the EP, Don't Bother Me (Yeah), is selling very well on iTunes."
