ASPIRING home-owners could make hefty savings on the price of their dream property if they act quickly at Taylor Wimpey’s Chaworth Gardens development in Ravenshead.

Stamp Duty is currently suspended for first-time buyers purchasing properties below £250,000, but from 24th March 2012 the one per cent tax is being reintroduced on all homes costing between £125,000 and £250,000.

Savvy buyers are being urged to act without delay to ensure they complete their purchase before the deadline – and save up to £1,599 on the cost of the two and three-bedroom homes on sale at the development.

Carolyne Watkinson, regional sales manager for Taylor Wimpey, says: “The high-quality homes and great location of the development make it the ideal place for would-be purchasers to take their first step onto the property ladder.

“And with the sun setting on the Stamp Duty holiday, this is the last chance for first-time buyers to take advantage of this superb money-saving incentive at Chaworth Gardens.”

The three-bedroom Plot 36 ‘Ashford’ town house is just one of the homes available now at the development ready for completion ahead of the Stamp Duty deadline, priced just £141,995.

This property features a contemporary kitchen, plus a spacious living/dining room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, and a handy guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Alternatively, a wonderful selection of two-bedroom apartments is on sale at Chaworth Gardens priced from only £96,796.

All homes at the development are completed to a high standard specification, including energy efficient central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

Selected properties are available with the Government-backed FirstBuy scheme, which lets qualifying first-time buyers secure their new home for just 80 per cent of its purchase price, including a five per cent deposit, subject to status. Full details of the FirstBuy initiative are available from the sales executive.

First-time buyers hoping to beat the stamp duty deadline at Chaworth Gardens should visit the sales centre, located off Longdale Lane, Ravenshead, or call 0845 672 3949.
