Soul and Motown night in Bilsthorpe to raise funds for Sara Baker

NORTHERN soul and Motown fans have the chance to show off their dance moves at a special fundraising night being held in aid of Sara Baker.

The Classic Northern Soul and Motown Night will take place at Bilsthorpe Welfare on 24th November from 7.30pm until 12.30am.

One of the event’s organisers, John Bevin said: “There will be three DJs choosing the tracks and fulfilling dancers’ requests with plenty of space to perform the moves. There will also be a raffle and other fundraising activities on the night with all proceeds going to Sara’s Appeal.”

Sara broke her back in a skiing accident in Canada in February this year. Since then she has been making a steady recovery physically - but has been left with huge hospital bills after she did not renew her travel insurance because of a family crisis.
