Ashfield’s premier paranormal investigator Lee Roberts is set to play in a celebrity football match that is raising money for two good causes.
Lee is taking part in The Big Match on 8th June, which is being played at Reading FC’s Madejeski Stadium.
The fundraiser is being co-organised by former Hearsay singer Suzanne Shaw and is raising money for two charities - Action for Children and The Brain Tumour Charity.
Suzanne’s father died from a brain tumour last year.
Lee said that a number of big names have signed up for the match, including ex-footballers Ossie Ardiles, Ray Wilkins, David Seaman, Razor Ruddock, John Solako and Darren Anderton, plus celebrities such as Bobby Davro, The Risk (X Factor), comedian Tim Vine, boxer Michael Sprott, Matt Evers from Dancing on Ice, Adele Silvia from Emmerdale and Suzanne.
Rylan from the X Factor is also rumoured to be refereeing one half.
Lee said: “I’ve said I will try and raise £500, and so far with a campaign to get all my Facebook friends to donate £1 each I’ve raised £331.”
Lee has been in training for the game and is appealing for others to get behind him and give what they can for a good cause.
