Meet the Miss Mansfield and Sherwood finalists in this week’s Chad

YOU can meet th top 12 girls who have made it through to the final stage of the Miss Mansfield and Sherwood Forest competition in this week’s Chad - on sale now..

The delightful dozen were voted for by Chad readers last month and are revealed for the first time in this week’s Chad.

They will now appear before a panel of judges at the final, which is being held at the John Fretwell Centre, Sookholme, on Saturday 27th October.

During the final evening, the contestants will compete in various categories to win the title.

Chad has been leading the search for a young woman to be an ambassador for the area at a variety of events.

The winner will go on to represent the area at the 2013 Miss England title, and will also campaign for a charity of her choice.

Organiser Trish Mapletoft said: “The standard of the ladies entering was outstanding, I am so proud of how the Miss Mansfield competition has grown over the last five years and the amount of young ladies entering, over 40, shows how much the people of Mansfield are getting behind the event.

“I would like to say a huge thank you to all the lovely young women who entered this year, and although there can only be one winner, they are all winners to me.”
