People in Mansfield may have voted to leave the EU, but it seems they're not keen to cut all ties with Europe.

The town comes in at number 11 in a list of the 20 top locations in the UK for playing EuroMillions.

The list has been compiled ahead of tonight (Friday's) £116m EuroMillions Superdraw by Jackpot.com.

And while it is not affiliated with the EU, the company carried out research looking at how voting behaviour is linked to Euromillions ticket purchases.

And of the top 20 places in the country playing the EuroMillions, 13 of them voted to leave the EU.

Pablo Grunbaum, Jackpot.com COO, said: “At Jackpot.com, we offer lottery enthusiasts the opportunity to try their hand at a range of games from around the world. We are pleased to see that despite being Eurosceptic from a political standpoint, players all across the UK are still making the most of Europe’s lotteries.

“With the Superdraw prize stacking-up to a huge £117 million, this is far more than the average UK Lotto and if won, the sterling payout would rank as the third largest lottery win in UK history.”
