PEUGEOT has announced that a special edition of its forthcoming new 208 GTi model will be made available to UK motorists.
Anyone interested in the French company’s new hot hatch will have to be quick though, as only 29 units out of a total of 54 cars globally have been earmarked for Brit buyers.
The number of cars coming to the UK is significant, as it matches the number of years since the launch of the iconic 205 GTi.
By way of celebration, the 208 GTi Limited Edition will boast a higher specification than the standard model and be individually numbered.
As such, the limited-run 208’s price reflects the inclusion of the likes of satnav, DAB radio and UK-centric graphics.
It will hit the showrooms in May at £20,495 - a little more than the expected base price of the standard 208 GTi.
