Half Term fun at the Midland Railway Centre

The Midland Railway – Butterley will be running trains throughout the Half Term week of 27th October to 4th November with a spooky theme.

Butterley Station will be specially decorated and there will be competitions for the children.

There will be a magician on hand to entertain visitors and the Railway’s Museum Complex will be open with two railway museums, demonstration signal box, Victorian railwayman’s church and the country park.

The week will culminate in the Midland Railway – Butterley annual firework display on 2nd November with the spectacular display starting at 7.30pm.

Alan Calladine the Midland Railway Trust Development Officer said, “This will be a great week to visit the Midland Railway – Butterley with plenty to see. Trains will be running from 11am on each day and visitors will be able to spend time looking round the Museum Complex before catching a train back.”
