Two military bands to play Southwell Minster
Two famous military bands are combining to present a concert at Southwell Minster on Friday 28th September to help raise funds for the Soldiers’ Charity – The Army Benevolent Fund.
“We are honoured to welcome Captain Evin Frost, Director of Music of The Band of the Parachute Regiment and Major Bruce Miller, Director of Music of The Minden Band of the Queen’s Division along with their talented musicians who will present a fine programme of military music. We hope that local people will give us their support,” says Colonel Roger Merryweather, chairman of The Soldiers’ Charity Nottinghamshire.
Tickets for the concert which starts at 7.30pm, cost £12.50 in advance, £15 on the door, and are available from The Minster Shop, Church Street, Southwell, (01636 812933) or from the ABF Regional Office, Chetwynd Barracks, Chilwell, Nottingham (0115 9572103).
