David Wilson Homes starts work on 129 new properties in Mansfield

DAVID Wilson Homes is making a welcome to return to Mansfield in 2012 with the launch of its latest development, Sandlands in Forest Town.

The East Midlands’ leading homebuilder will be bringing 129 family and starter homes to the village from its latest range.

Homebuyers will be able to choose from a selection of properties in a mix of two, three, four and five bedroom houses including coach houses, terraced houses, semi detached and detached properties.

Construction work is now well underway at Sandlands following planning approval for 12 hectares of land. The homes have been created to complement Forest Town’s existing buildings, whilst around a fifth of the development will be designed for open spaces for the benefit of the community.

David Wilson Homes is no stranger to the Mansfield area having previously completed a development in Kirkby, whilst it is currently selling homes at Kings Meadow in Sutton.

David Wilson Homes hopes that its latest project will appeal to those who are looking to reside in a quality new home in a sought after location.

Philip Lacey, sales director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “We’re extremely excited to be building once again in the Mansfield area.

“Sandlands promises to be an archetypal David Wilson Homes development in as much as it will offer exceptional new homes in a carefully considered location and we are confident that it will prove a popular choice with local homebuyers.

“With just 129 new homes in total, this is going to be an exciting development which will offer both a desirable village location as well as close proximity to a fantastic road network and East Midlands Airport, making it an ideal destination for commuters looking to enjoy the best of both worlds.

“We’ve already received a high number of enquiries and we anticipate that demand will be high and so I would recommend anyone who is interested, to register your interest now.”
