BRISTOL Street Motors Mansfield – Hyundai & Suzuki teamed up with local radio station Mansfield 103.2 to give 5 lucky listeners the chance to drive a Formula One race simulator, with the fastest listener winning an iPad2.
Contestants had to tune into Mansfield 103.2 after 4.00pm from Monday 15th until Friday 19th October, and listen to ‘Drive’ with Stewart Nicholson to gain their opportunity to enter this exciting competition. Listeners had to answer one question a day.
On the Monday, Stewart asked his listeners what makes of car were sold at Bristol Street Motors in Mansfield. If they had answered Hyundai and Suzuki they were right. On Tuesday the question was ‘Who won the Korean Grand Prix’ on the preceding Sunday to which Sebastian Vettel would have been the correct answer. On Wednesday, the question focused on the dealership’s deals as listeners were asked ‘which Suzuki model was currently being offered at £6,999,’ to which the answer was the Suzuki Splash.
The Thursday question featured another of the outstanding deals currently available at Bristol Street Motors - ‘buy a new car now and pay nothing until, with listeners having to answer January 2013 to be correct! On the Friday, the fifth and final question was ‘Other than Lewis Hamilton name a current British Grand Prix driver,’ to which the answer should have been Jenson Button and Paul Di Resta.
To qualify for the competition entrants had to be available to attend Bristol Street Motors’ showroom on Southwell Road on the following Saturday between 10.00am and midday. The winner of the competition was announced live on air, and a delighted Mark Eastwood was handed the iPad2 to win the prize by General Manager Derrol Witts.
The live broadcast kicked off a special weekend at the dealership which was packed with fantastic offers for the event only. These included an opportunity to pick up the impressive Hyundai i10 Classic from just £6,995 and to buy the outstanding Suzuki Splash from only £6,999! Then there were the ‘Buy Now, Pay Nothing till January 2013’ deals together with the Free Car Wash and Vac visitors took advantage of a Free Car Valuation over the weekend.
What’s more, special guests included Paralympic Champion and Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist Oliver Hynd between 10.00am and midday on Saturday and Steve Ward, the oldest professional boxer in the world.
