IN response to Mr Rowbottom's letter in Chad (16th April), I would like to thank him for taking the time to publicly praise staff at King's Mill Hospital for providing his son with such 'excellent' care during his recent admission.
While we are never afraid to accept criticism or learn from mistakes, it's always good to get such positive feedback.

It gives the A&E department a real boost at a time when staff are working harder than ever to meet tough waiting time targets while providing the best possible patient care.

Our patient surveys reveal time and again that our staff are friendly, enthusiastic and talented and I'm proud of the contribution they make each and every day to serve the people of Mansfield and Ashfield.

TRACY DOUCET,
Chairman,
Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
