No7 bus route is the worst in town

FURTHER to the letter from David Skepper, Stagecoach East Midlands, has he ever heard the proverb 'Self-praise is no recommendation'?
Yes, they have low-loaders to replace the old double deckers on certain routes. So what had happened to the double deckers? They've been dumped on the No7 route and the low floors taken off.

Result? Two weeks ago, a lady with an infant not yet abl
e to walk, waiting on the bus station, was told she'd have to wait for two more buses before she could board.

I then held the child while she folded her buggy, and when she wanted to alight at Gladstone Street, again held the child as she struggled to put the buggy up again, with a large shopping bag.

Comment from the bus driver? "Hurry up, we haven't got all day."
So much for help from Stagecoach.

The No7 route is the worst in Mansfield. Every 10 minutes at peak times, and when they think about it at others! If too much time spent at Oak Tree terminus, nip down Southwell Road instead (something I've witnessed and reported myself).

And now, to add insult to injury, we've all the decrepit double deckers they can't offload on to any other route. Thank you very much.

MRS S. E. QUIBELL,
King Street, Mansfield.
