ON Saturday 12th July, I was privileged to be taken to a concert at Centre Point, Kirkby. This was given by members of the choir and band of Ashfield School.
They gave a fantastic concert, enjoyed by myself and all present. They are a credit to to Kirkby and District. Their parents must be very proud of them.

I would like to take this opportunity, through Chad, to say a big thank you to the members of the choir and the band.

Also the conductors of both, and the pianist. It was a most enjoyable, entertaining evening.

Some of the students will be leaving at the end of term to go to university and I would like to wish them every success, as well as those staying on.

JOAN H. KNOWLES,
Edison Street,
Nuncargate.
