I WAS cycling towards the bottom of Wild Hill at Teversal when a white car whooshed past me at great speed, nearly blowing me out of the saddle.
A little further on I saw a black-capped bird in the gutter. I picked it up, it was panting and had suffered at the hands of the 'white whoosher'.

It was around 2.40pm on 12th June. If you are that reckless car driver, I'd like to ask you what is the big hurry?

The only thing you are hurrying to is your own funeral.

When I reached the top of Wild Hill there was a dead green finch in the gutter.

It is no wonder that people cycle on the pavement.

Derwent Drive,
