TALENTED students from schools in the Mansfield area are being given the chance to showcase their creative work to the public.
For Mansfield's annual Schools in the Streets festival is just a few weeks away - and there is still just time for schools and pupils to get involved.

During the two-week event, schools perform in Mansfield Market Place each lunchtime for shoppers and visitors to the town.

The entertainment can be music, drama or dance based - and already some schools have signed up to take part in the event, from Monday 30th June to Friday 11th July.

Last year local schools put on a wide variety of events, including school choirs, dance and plays.

Schools in the Streets is part of Summer in the Streets, Mansfield District Council's free programme of summer events put together with Mansfield Town Centre Partnership.

If you would like to take part, contact Lisa Vincent, Town Centre Events and Promotions Co-ordinator, on 01623 653350 or e-mail lisa.vincent@btconnect.com
