MANSFIELD Palace Theatre bosses rubbed their magic lamp and out popped a host of TV favourites to top the bill in this year's Christmas panto Aladdin.
The festive panto will feature Last of the Summer Wine's Louis Emerick as the evil villain Abanazar.

The scouse TV veteran is best known for his portrayal of Mick Johnson on now defunct soap opera Brookside and has also starred in Casualty.

This year's princess is former Eastenders actress Babita Pohoomull, who played Preeti Choraria in the show and also starred in hospital drama Casualty.

Taking the role of funny man PC Pong and following in the footsteps of fellow CBBC star Mike Fischetti is presenter Michael Absalom.

Palace Theatre bosses say half the tickets for the panto shows have been sold so far.

For video interviews with the stars of Aladdin visit www.chad.co.uk on Friday.
